Astral Projection Dating

Astral Dating – Part One

Astral projection, out of body experiences and dating were farther away than the last things on Egan’s mind as he wheeled his chair across the windy street: he hurt everywhere and even the biting wind seemed to chew on his broken body.  He had to stop in the crosswalk because a car hurtled by in the next lane: it sent small hurricanes of dust and bits of litter to sandblast Egan even worse.  A flyer-sized paper smacked the paraplegic pedestrian in the face.

‘Try Astral Dating’.  Egan read the astral projection slogan before the paper lodged against his nose.  Then he was temporarily blinded by the wind-blown astral dating flyer pressed against his face.  His hands moved jerkily to remove the astral projection flyer and while doing so he felt the close passage of another motorist in too much of a hurry to wait for the wheelchair-bound pedestrian.

“Go ahead and finish the job of killing me.”  He muttered as he peeled off the flyer that offered the Astral Dating Service.  And a whirlwind of dust tore the astral projection dating paper from his fingers.  The dating ad flew around his neck and lodged between the back of his chair and his back: right where he couldn’t possibly reach it.  He would need some out of body fingers to dislodge the astral projection pamphlet pinned to his shoulders like a ‘kick-me’ sign.

Egan’s whole recent life was as if he was wearing a ‘kick-me’ sign.  His parents had been killed in the same accident that left him crippled.  But since the driver of the other vehicle was drunk at the time, the insurance didn’t have to pay.  The drunk driver then got a lawyer to absolve him of any responsibility.

The life insurance Egan’s parents had was quickly used up for the double funeral – which he couldn’t attend because he was in the hospital.  Where the medical bills and the doctor fees quickly chewed through the rest of Egan’s money.

“Astral projection dating.”  The young man scoffed as he finished crossing the street. “I just wish I could astral project to and from the food bank.”  Going anywhere in his manual wheelchair was difficult and gave him pain because his arms were not in much better shape than his useless legs were.  “But the money for powered chairs is needed for those who are too obese to walk.  And so they just get more obese but that seems to be what the system wants.  If I could get an astral date, my astral girlfriend wouldn’t have a body to push my wheelchair with.”  Egan amused himself with some fantasizing about dating an astral projected girl and he gave himself a chuckle for the rest of his painful and exhausting trip home.  “An out of body experience might take me briefly away from my body’s pain too.”

Astral Phantasm to a Dreamscape

Astral Dating – Part Four

‘Who are you?’  Egan answered in a surprised voice, but he quickly realized that he was not speaking with his lips and mouth.  Those were back in his broken body: which was reposed on the bed.  His consciousness was hovering above his physical self and the words were simply projected thoughts.

‘You don’t know me yet.’  The ethereal female voice said.  ‘This is only our first astral date.’

‘How did you know to meet me here?’  Egan asked.  He surmised that the voice was coming from an area of silvery mist.  As he decided that, he also noted that his own form was now a patch of shimmering white ethereal light: he could see this as someone in a human body can feel their own body and see portions of it.  ‘I am this astral being!’

‘We all are that.’  There was some mirth in her retort.  ‘Most just refuse to accept that we are much more than a three dimensional mirror reflects.  But never mind that for now.  You’ll soon become accustomed to it.  You also asked me how I knew to meet you here: I sent you that astral dating flyer.  I’ve been searching for just such an opportunity ever since your accident.’

‘Why?’

‘You’ll know that soon enough too.’

‘How’

‘That’s my James.’  The cloud of silvery-white ethereal essence laughed.  ‘You’re always so inquisitive and impatient.  Come with me and we’ll get you dressed for our first astral dating adventure.’

‘Am I naked in my astral projected form?’  Ethan wondered but she didn’t answer his question.

They traveled through a tunnel: it was not like a hole in the ground but rather like in the eye of a slow-motion tornado of rich colors and the journey was over almost as swiftly as it had begun.  Egan felt as if they were in room filled with invisible people or ghosts.

‘I know these people.’  He observed.  ‘Yet I’m quite sure I’ve never actually met any of them.  Are they my ancestors?’

‘Not exactly.’  The spirit girl led him to one specific individual.  ‘Merge yourself with this one and all your questions will be answered.  These are the memory ‘clothes’ I want you to wear for our astral dating.

‘Merge was certainly the optimal word.’  Egan noted aloud.  The memory set of his last life flowed into his astral projected body like milk poured into breakfast cereal.  As soon as the process was complete, he felt as a brand new person.  ‘This is weird.  I’m now the James you must’ve known but yet I’m still the me that I was a moment ago.’

‘Let’s begin our proper date then.’  The astral girl spirit suggested.  ‘I’ve prepared a dreamscape for us.’

‘Should I have brought flowers?’  He asked.

‘Thank you.’  The girl took the bouquet of roses that had suddenly appeared in his hand and she smiled.  ‘That’s very thoughtful of you.’

Past Life Date with an Ethereal Girl

Astral Dating – part 3 – A past life date with an ethereal girl

‘Who are you?’  Egan answered in a surprised voice, but he quickly realized that he was not speaking with his lips and mouth.  Those were back in his broken body: which was reposed on the bed.  His consciousness was hovering in an ethereal region above his physical self and the words were simply projected thoughts.

‘You don’t know me yet.’  The disembodied female voice said.  ‘This is only our first astral date.’

Astral Projection and Ethereal Dating

Astral Dating – Part 2

“Isn’t astral dating a method of determining how old fossils are?”  A cute volunteer at the shelter asked as she helped Egan take his jacket off: yes, she was quite blond.

astral_withname“You’re thinking of carbon dating.”  Egan quickly snatched the paper away before she could read more.  The astral projection flyer had landed on him and stuck to his back by a happenstance but the stigma attached to out of body experiences would also adhere to him like glue.  His body was broken but his mind was sharp.

“Then what is astral projection dating?”  The girl inquired with a taunting lilt.

“This is just litter that blew into my clothing.”  He jammed the astral project leaflet into his pocket.  “What are you doing tomorrow?”  Egan changed the subject.  “You want to hang out at the mall?”

“Uh,” the pretty girl stammered, “I have to wash my hair.”

‘I can smell your greasy scalp from here.’  Egan wished he had the nerve to say as she brushed of his advance with the worst imaginable excuse.  As the girl hurried off to be anywhere but next to a handicapped guy, Egan wished he could astral project some fleas into the hair that she presumably needed to spend a whole day washing. ‘I suppose that would be teleporting and not astral projection.’

Egan took the astral projection dating paper out to actually read it had to say about astral projecting and dating.  One of those concepts he could seemingly use.

Shiva’s Messenger – Novel by Russel Twyce

‘Seek out your Soul Mate on the Astral Plane.’

Egan read the astral travel brochure as he wheeled his chair into his room. The word ‘room’ was a gross overstatement of his living space. It was a cell where even a disembodied astral spirit would be cramped, but at least Egan could hold the one wall and the bed while he wrenched his broken body onto his single bed.

astralhypnosis“What girl would want either my astral or physical self?” He whispered as he pulled the threadbare wool blanket over his body. It was still early in the evening, only in the afternoon actually but of late, depression had been sending him to bed early. “What else is there that’s interesting to do, but to sleep and hope to dream?”

‘This astral projection stuff is likely nonsense.’ He thought, as he got as comfortable as possible in preparation for trying the steps outlined on the astral projection page.

‘Now come to me my darling.’ A ethereal female voice urged. ‘Join me tonight in the astral.’
